The Perks of Life in a Residence Hall
Perhaps you've already compared living in a residence hall to some of
your other college housing options and decided that you're interested in
finding out more. If that's the case, then this article is for you. Besides the
fact that it's generally more affordable and independent than most of your
other options, there are also several other perks associated with residence
hall living. To some students, some of these perks are worth the price of
admission all by themselves. You'll get them all. We're going to look at the
amenities specific to the Residence Hall @ Brooklyn college. We'll look at the
rooms themselves, and then we'll look at the rest of the building.
As far as the rooms themselves, the ones at the Residence Hall @Brooklyn College have a lot to offer. For starters, each of the rooms is fully
furnished. That alone makes them superior to most apartments. There's also a
microwave, a kitchenette, and a refrigerator already there! You'll also have
the option of either private or shared bathrooms, as well as individually
controlled air conditioning and heat. All of the rooms in the building, include
utilities as well as cable television
and wireless, high speed internet access! You'll truly be enjoying all the comforts
of home.
When it comes to the perks that are associated with living at the
Residence Hall @ Brooklyn College, they certainly aren't confined to your own
room. The rest of the building boasts plenty of amenities, too. For example,
there are plenty of communal meeting and study rooms available for your use at
no extra charge. In addition, there are on site fitness and laundry facilities.
There are even lounges where you can relax with your friends! These are the
kinds of things you just aren't going to find in most apartment complexes. You
also won't be able to enjoy these types of amenities living at home with your
parents.
But wait, there's more! The Residence Hall @ Brooklyn College also
offers courtesy shuttles to the campus. That way, you won't have to provide
your own transportation to and from school. In addition to courtesy shuttles,
there are also courtesy patrols. There is a security guard on duty twenty-four
hours a day, and there are security cameras around the perimeter of the
building (and in the common areas). So, while you're experiencing all of the
amenities we've talked about in this article, you'll be doing so in an
environment that's as safe as your very own home.
In summary, the benefits and perks you get when you live in the Residence
Hall @ Brooklyn College are second to none. In your room, regardless of which
particular floor plan you select, you get all of the perks listed above. Plus,
you will also be enjoying some benefits that are less tangible. For example,
because the rules governing life in a residence hall are more relaxed that the
rules in a dorm, you will experience a greater sense of independence. Though
you will find your license fee affordable, you will find the memories you make
while living here absolutely priceless.

More And More Students Opt for Housing in Residence Halls
These days, more and more college students are discovering that one of
their very best options for housing during their college years is in a
residence hall. There are a number of reasons for this. First, it's
surprisingly affordable! Second, it's safer than living in your own apartment.
It also provides an experience of community that's such a vital part of your
development during your college years. We're going to take a look at each of
these benefits in further detail, and in the end, you'll discover several
specific reasons why housing in a residence hall during your college years
could be a really terrific option for you.
As we mentioned a moment ago, one of the main reasons that an
increasing number of college students every year opt for housing in an off
campus residence hall is because it's surprisingly affordable. One of the
reasons for that is that the price you pay to live in a residence hall includes
not only your rent, but also all of your utilities. In fact, most of them even
include cable television and wi-fi internet access! In addition, if you are
living in an apartment and your roommate fails to pay his or her share of the
bills, you can get evicted. This is not true in a residence hall. You have your
own individual financial obligation, and if your roommate does not pay, they
will suffer the consequences, not you.
Another great reason for opting to live in residence halls is safety.
For instance, there's usually a security guard on duty in such a hall
twenty-four hours a day. After hours, when the doors are locked, the security
guard buzzes residents in. That way, you don't have to worry about anyone
getting into the hall that isn't supposed to be there. That benefit alone can
go a long way toward providing some much needed peace of mind, not only to
students, but also to their parents. The directors of residence halls live in
on-site, too, so if you do ever need to contact someone about a problem, you
have the ability to do so any time.
Sometimes, the importance of developing a sense of community during
your college years is under-emphasized. Fortunately, it is precisely such a
sense of community that living in a residence hall can effectively foster. This
is facilitated by such things as group activities and communal living areas.
Such areas include exercise rooms, lounges, community kitchens, and study rooms!
While you do want to foster a sense of community during your college years, you
probably don't want to sacrifice all of your privacy in order to do so, which
is why all of our rooms have their own private bathrooms and kitchenettes.
We understand that you do have other options for your living
arrangements while you're going to college. Still, we believe that living in a
residence hall can offer you the best of all possible worlds. As a matter of
fact, even students whose parents live within driving distance of the college
can benefit from living in a residence hall. Much of what you learn during your
college years doesn't come from your books and your lectures!

International Student Housing NYC
You essentially have four options when it comes to having a place to
live while you're in college. If your parents live close enough to the campus
you've chosen, then you can live with them. If you can afford it, you can rent
your own apartment. (If you can't afford one by yourself, you can try living
with a roommate or two.) A third option, of course, would be to live in a dorm.
That's one of the most popular options. There is a fourth one, though. It's
living in an off campus residence hall. We believe that by doing so, you'll be
reaping the best benefits of all of the other options, while avoiding their
most annoying drawbacks.
We're going to discuss your options starting with the most expensive
one, and work our way down to the least expensive one. The most expensive
option is to live in your own apartment. Of course, it can be rendered less
expensive if you live with a roommate or two, but that can be a risky move. If
one or more of your roommates isn't able to meet their obligations, you can be
evicted, even if you were able to meet yours. That won't happen in a residence
hall. As long as you can pay your own bills, you can stay.
A less expensive option is to live in a dorm. There are a lot of rules,
though. There are rules which govern life in residence halls as well, but they
are usually much less restrictive. As a result, you can enjoy a greater sense
of independence by living in a residence hall, and the transition to life on
your own won't represent such a big step. Of course, some people prefer dorm
life for that very reason, but most college students enjoy the additional
independence. In many cases, dorms are often full. When they are, you can
usually find a room in an off campus residence hall for a comparable price, and
the experience is superior.
Your least expensive option is to live at home with your parents.
However, this option is not without its share of drawbacks, even when your
parents live close by. For one thing, you're probably ready to get out of the
house! We're going to let you in on a little secret on that one. They're ready
for that, too! Plus, with gas prices as expensive as they are, and no sign that
they're going down any time soon, this option is probably more expensive than
you think it is! It might actually save you money in the long run to live
within walking distance of your campus, as you would if you were living in a
residence hall.
So, you can save money in most situations by living in a residence hall
near your campus. Not only that, it will be a more effective transition into
the real world for you than life in a dorm would be. As you can see, residence
hall living offers a level of freedom similar to that of having your own
apartment, the security of living in a dorm, and the comfort of living at
home... all at an affordable price!
